CODE OF CONDUCT
LAW-ABIDING CONDUCT.
For us it is a matter of course to comply with the laws of the countries in which we operate. This applies regardless of any penalties threatened. Illegal conduct violates the interests of the company. Loss of reputation, criminal prosecution or loss of orders are possible consequences here. Legal conduct thus serves not only to protect the company but also to protect the employees. All our employees are obliged to inform themselves about the laws and regulations applicable to them and to comply with them.
QUALITY AND PRODUCT SAFETY.
In order to maintain the quality standards we set ourselves, we rely on the many years of experience and skills of our selected suppliers. We want our suppliers to produce according to the latest standards of technology. In doing so, we expect the products to meet the agreed specifications and samples. We attach great importance to ensuring that our products are free of defects that could have an adverse effect on the health, life and property of people. Applicable legal requirements for product safety are observed to the best of our knowledge and belief, and our products are free of prohibited substances and comply with current legislation.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT.
In addition to human rights, our employment of staff is based on the core labour standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO). MyOwn does not tolerate in any form child labour or forced labour as well as any kind of exploitation. The legal regulations for the protection of children and adolescents are applied in recruitment and employment. In addition, the valid work safety regulations apply to all employees. Employees are free to terminate the employment relationship in compliance with the periods of notice. We reject unequal treatment or reduction on the basis of gender, race or origin, religion or ideology, as well as any other discriminatory behavior. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of our employees.
ENSURING FAIR COMPETITION.
Compliance with the legal requirements for the protection of competition must always be observed. Accepting advantages can represent a high risk for our company and our employees. For this reason, inadmissible advantages are neither to be granted nor accepted. Restraint must be exercised when accepting and giving gifts and benefits. Under no circumstances may such restraint be such that the acceptance must be concealed by the recipient or obligates him or her to make a substantial counter-performance. The strict separation of private and business interests applies. The use of our activity may not lead to the attainment of private advantages. The commissioning of business partners for private purposes is to be avoided as far as possible. Business partners may not be preferred out of private interest.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.
MyOwn expects its business partners to comply with all applicable laws regarding copyrights or other intellectual property and not to knowingly and intentionally infringe the intellectual property of MyOwn or third parties.
ENVIRONMENT.
MyOwn attaches great importance to the environment and public health in all investment and business decisions. MyOwn strives for a continuous improvement of all processes by complying with valid legal regulations and provisions in the field of waste management, emissions and water in the cooperation with your customers and suppliers, so that waste from the business process can be prevented or reduced as far as possible. We expect this from our business partners to the same extent.
